NotifyMe — secure one-way messaging from doctors to patients
NotifyMe is a South African healthcare communication app that lets doctors send appointment reminders, health information and practice updates to their patients in organised groups, with push notifications and audit history. Patients receive messages — they do not reply — keeping the channel safe, simple and POPIA-aligned.
What NotifyMe does
NotifyMe gives doctors and practice managers a structured channel to keep patients informed without using personal phone numbers or shared WhatsApp groups. You create patient groups, send messages, and every patient gets a push notification on iOS, Android or the web.
Why one-way
NotifyMe is intentionally one-way: patients receive messages and can acknowledge them with a heart, but they cannot reply. This keeps the channel clinically safe, prevents unmonitored patient queries, and protects doctors from accidental clinical advice over messaging.
Built for South African healthcare
NotifyMe is designed around the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and HPCSA professional standards. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with row-level access controls so doctors only see their own patients. Read more on the Compliance page.
